About
Stanislav Zábrodský (b. 1996, lives and works in Prague) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and at Indonesian ISI Yogyakarta.
His practice operates across the temporal registers of deep time and the systems of representation embedded in digital archives. Working with materials such as limestone, which he uses to create synthetic simulations of processes unfolding across extended timescales. These newly formed material traces emerge as residues of the Industrial Revolution, technological production, and cultural artifacts. Images, diagrams and reliefs are never stable records: what has been captured and the thing itself remain irreducibly different. This perspective represent a shift in time and attempt to awaken perspective that our present is already being deposited within the material strata and formations of the future.
